Jack Ketchum and the Suspended in Dusk Anthology

"I think all good writing... should remind you that the world is so much bigger and more diverse than your own, richer than just your experience of it for better or worse, that people are like you and not like you at all." ~ Jack Ketchum

A while back I wrote a post on my friend Simon Dewar’s anthology, Suspended in Dusk. After hitting a few bumps on take off, the thing has started cruising up to levels nobody could’ve dreamed of….

It boasts a story from the master of short horror fiction, Ramsey Campbell. It’s garnered endorsements from Kaaron Warren and Jonathan Maberry. It features nineteen fresh stories from new horror writers (myself included). And now… the Master of Blood JACK KETCHUM (author of Off Season, Red, The Girl Next Door) has written the introduction for it!

He swills whiskey and wears leather jackets. He writes like he’s aiming to shred your soul, and he collabs on horror films with Lucky McKee. He captures beauty and decency through trauma and blood. He teaches young horror writers, ‘Write about what scares you. Write about what you love’. And he has a whole lot of good things to say about Suspended in Dusk.

Here’s a link to Simon’s blog post on the Intro: http://simondewar.wordpress.com/2014/08/18/jack-ketchum-will-be-introducing-the-suspended-in-dusk-anthology/

This has turned into one helluva exciting project. News as soon as possible on the release date.
